🌿 About Me

Meet Your Dietitian

Hi, I’m Yoko—founder and head dietitian of New Life Nutrition & Wellness, and someone who deeply understands what it means to feel disconnected from your body, and what it takes to return home to it.

I help people feel vibrant, balanced, and at home in their bodies with care that is both evidence-based and holistic. In our work together you can expect a deeply personalized, compassionate approach that supports hormone health, nervous system resilience, digestion, metabolism, and your long-term wellness goals. My aim is not only symptom relief, but sustainable vitality and confidence in your day-to-day choices.

Why I Do This Work

My path into nutrition wasn’t linear—it was personal.

After struggling with autoimmune symptoms, fatigue, and burnout, I began seeking answers beyond quick fixes and symptom management. It wasn’t until I found practitioners that blended the science of nutrition with ancient, holistic practices that I began to truly heal. That experience and transformation shaped my philosophy and inspired my journey to becoming a dietitian and the creation of New Life Nutrition & Wellness: a space where nourishment, alignment, and balance meet.

I’ve seen how food can heal or feel overwhelming; my role is to help you rebuild a grounded relationship with nourishment and self-care on every level.

New Life Nutrition & Wellness is more than a business. It’s a vision of collective healing—a space where women are empowered to reclaim their energy, intuition, and vitality through nourishment and alignment to Self.

My goal isn’t just to help you feel better—it’s to help you build a life that feels aligned, ecstatic, and sustainable, even when things feel hard. I believe food is medicine, but also joy. Structure is important, but so is softness. I’m here to walk with you on the path—not ahead of you, not behind you—with you.

Who I Help

I specialize in women’s health, supporting women through the deeply transformative seasons of life—including:

  • Hormone balance: PCOS, PMS/PMDD, irregular cycles; insulin resistance, prediabetes, diabetes

  • Nervous system support & burnout recovery: stress resilience, sleep, ADHD & nutrition

  • Fertility, pregnancy & postpartum: inclusive support for breastfeeding and formula use

  • Cycle-informed living & menstrual wellness (cycle “syncing” in a practical, science-aware way)

  • Metabolic longevity & weight concerns (health-outcome focused)

  • Infant, toddler & pediatric nutrition (including family meal systems)

  • General wellness, gut health (IBS/bloating), lipids/cholesterol, blood pressure

  • Lifestyle design rooted in nutrition, self-care, movement, and mindfulness

Whether you’re feeling lost in the healthcare system, overwhelmed by supplement options, facing fatigue or PMS, navigating postpartum depletion or weight changes, or simply want to age well with steady energy—I offer clear, evidence-informed strategies that support your whole self: mind, body, and spirit.

I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all approaches. My work is personalized, inclusive, and collaborative—rooted in the belief that healing happens when we live in rhythm with our body, our environment, and our truth. Note: Nutrition guidance complements—never replaces—your medical care.

My Approach (what it’s like to work together)

I blend modern science with holistic, time-tested practices—from nutrigenomics to herbal medicine—and translate them into doable routines. We start with foundations, then use gentle experiments to uncover root contributors (blood-sugar patterns, gut function/bloat, stress and sleep, mineral or nutrient gaps). We build the shortest, simplest effective plan and reassess together.

  • Step-by-step plans instead of information overload

  • Phased method: foundations → targeted support → re-assessment → maintenance

  • Targeted supplements when appropriate (quality, dose, timing, interactions—no product pushing)

  • Lab-aware nutrition explained in plain language; care coordinated with your clinicians

  • Inclusive, trauma-aware, culturally responsive care

Scope note: I don’t diagnose or prescribe. Nutrition and herbal guidance **complements—not replaces—**your medical care.

My Professional Background

I am a licensed and credentialed Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) with a Master of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of North Florida. I also completed my Bachelor of Science in Dietetics from the University of Florida. I’ve worked with hundreds of women through my roles in clinical care and public health, including as a WIC supervisor and educator, guiding families through pregnancy, breastfeeding, infant feeding, and early childhood nutrition.

Before becoming a dietitian, I coached in a functional medicine nutrition practice. I learned to interpret trends and patterns in common labs—lipids, A1c/insulin, iron studies, thyroid panel, vitamin D, CRP—and to integrate select advanced tools judiciously (e.g., breath testing for SIBO, stool markers like calprotectin/elastase when indicated, Organic Acids Test (OAT), DUTCH test (dried-urine hormone metabolites), food “sensitivity” IgG panels, and Nutrigenomix® DNA-based nutrition testing). When results will meaningfully change your plan, I connect them to food, habits, and targeted supplements—always with safety in mind and in collaboration with your care team. Testing is informational and does not replace medical diagnosis or treatment.

I’ve completed advanced trainings in:

Clinical herbal medicine & botanical therapies

Yoga & meditation for nervous system regulation

Integrative and holistic nutrition

Nutrition counseling & behavior change coaching

  • Practitioner use of Nutrigenomix®.

This combination allows me to approach your health from multiple angles—grounded in evidence, enriched by tradition, and centered around you.

A Bit More About Me

Outside of sessions you’ll find me in nature—tea in hand, hiking, tending plants, and in coffee shops creating practical wellness guides. Fun fact: I’m also a fire spinner and performer.

Is this the right fit?

My ideal client is ready to take ownership of her health and wants more than a quick fix. She’s curious about how food, lifestyle, and deeper patterns shape her wellbeing; she values a food as medicine approach that honors both modern research and holistic traditions, and she appreciates empathetic, personalized support grounded in evidence.

If you’re ready to get to the root of your symptoms, reconnect with your body, and create lasting wellness from the inside out, I’d love to support you.

Ready to begin?

Let’s clarify your goals, get to the root of your symptoms, and build habits that anchor you in your purpose—with structure when you need it and softness when it helps most.
